Janice Greer is a Behaviour Specialist. When not seeing clients privately, she works as a Child and Youth Counsellor for Sick Kids Hospital, an Instructor Therapist for clients with Autism in local group homes, and has served in both counselling and therapy roles for York Region District School Board in the public and high schools over the past ten years. In her spare time she is a martial arts instructor and practitioner (2nd Degree Black Belt in Chito-Ryu Karate) and is owned by two crazy and comical cats.
Why Choose to Work with a Behaviour Specialist?
Applied Behaviour Analysis is a science devoted to the understanding and improvement of human behaviour. Using the additional techniques of motivational interviewing and the mindfulness exercises of dialectical behavioural skills training, an effective and comprehensive plan of behaviour change can be created for the participant. Whether you wish to start something new or to quit an ineffective or harmful habit, a behaviour specialist can help you. Focusing on core values, beliefs and your current actions, your specialist and you can collaborate in the creation of a new program designed to make meaningful, significant change in your life.
